Scary Scary!!

Being a nurse we see all types of people some nice some not so nice, some cute some not so cute. Well this brings me to this post. The other night at work my patient and significant other was the latter. Don't know if you recognize the pic but this is from Dennis the Mennace the movie. Its Chistopher Lloyd who played the town robber. Scary hugh? Anyway my patients FOB is his twin. I was actually afraid to go in the room he was so scary. I am surprised I didn't just come out screaming the first time I went in. He even had the big ugly ring on. This is the type of man that is in little kids nightmares. The thought of him still scares me. I mean I am even freaked out typing this. So thank goodness when I return to work on Saturday they will already be discharged!

Hump Day!

I am home and boy everyone was glad to see me!! We are watching TD while his mom is gone to the beach so its a little crazy around here. Zoe and TD play non stop until we separate them. To make matters worse TD is a boy who thinks he is a charmer and is constantly trying to get it on with our daughter right before our very eyes! Well it is hump day Wed. and TD is taking full advantage of it!

My vacation at the beach is coming to a close. I will be leaving tommorrow. I am sure ready to see my hubby and the zoe head!! The jelly fish have been fierce and the sun scorching but I have been very good at putting on the spf after strict instructions from Ryan. I have got lots of family time in and we are headed to Lamberts to catch a roll so I will chat with you guys later! I will have to post pics later, for some reason they will not attach right now.

A must read!

I just finished reading Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole. If you have never read the book you need to. It was written in the 60's but this was my first encounter with the book. At first its one of those that its not so bad you will quit reading it, but not that great either, but before you know it, it has your complete attention and you can't put it down! The setting of the book is in New Orleans which makes it even better. Toole's words come to life so well you can almost smell the "aroma" of the French Quarter as you are reading it!!
So go get the book & read it!
Thats all for now! I have 3 days of work and then I am off to the beach for 6 days and I can't wait!!

I have what??

So I went to the doc last week for this reoccurring intense abdominal pain I have been having that only occurs 24 hours after drinking. I could just stop the cocktails but thought there might be a better answer. While trying to find out what was causing this my doc did a routine EKG just to check out the heart and some lab work as well and sent me on my way to wait for results. I get a call Wed. while in a deep sleep to hear that my heart has an abnormality that is very rare for someone my age. In my sleeping stupor I just shrug the call off and go back to dreaming! I awake thinking WTF and realize the office is closed until Monday. So I have to wait 4 days not knowing if my ticker is going to keep on ticking. So yesterday I go back to dr. to find out that the ticker is fine, the EKG tech just put two of the leads on wrong which made my results look quite horrific. So we worried all weekend for nothing (even though my mom said she would worry about it enough for all of us) but you know we did not listen to her. So she thinks my abd. pain is due to too much acid in the belly and put me on some meds. that seem to be doing the trick as of yet.
So looks like the ticker is going to keep on ticking and the cocktails are going to continue to flow!!
