We are all ready for the costume party tonight. All the baking, cooking, and cleaning is done. Ryan made gumbo and quiche. I made mice pops, a spider and pumpkin cake, eye ball deviled eggs, witch hat cookies, and brain dip! yummy I can hardly wait!! Now I just need a nap!
Today is my hubby's Birthday!! He is thirty-one. This is the fifth year we have celebrated his birthday together and I can't wait to celebrate like 80 more with him.

1. is a great cook
2. My own little merry maid on occasions
3. lets me wear his socks when I don't feel good
4. always keeps the freezer stocked with chicken
5. is bilingual but in no language I have ever heard of before
6. Makes homemade cards for me on my birthday instead of buying them at the store like me
7. brings me flowers for no specific reason except b/c he loves me, even if he doesn't know the difference between daisies and sunflowers!
8. enjoys just riding around with me with no specific destination
9. can always make me laugh even if I don't wanna smile
10. doesn't make to much fun of me, like when I thought marco polo was the same as water polo in the olympics or when I got him something engraved that said Merry Christmas Dec. 24th!
11. is alot better at saving money than me, but not too stingy like my dad
12. is a great alarm clock sometimes too good
13. always explains movies to me b/c I never know what is going on
14. is not a very good monopoly player or either he lets me win all the time
15. he is a great dad to zoe and I know he will be to our future children even though I will not let him name them ryan and fiona!!
16. smells good most of the time
17. is always the first one to tell me what is in style
18. works nights and likes it just like me
19. takes me to the french quarter and will sit in the gutter with me and eat a lucky dog until the sun comes up
20. is not a momma's boy even though I thought he might be

My mom is going in this morning to have knee surgery. She is actually very excited because she has had to wait two weeks for this surgery. She has been in pain for over a month now just been waiting on doctors, physical therapy, and insurance to all agree, and for the diet pills to get out of her system but...... Anyway she is a little nervous about the recovery but I am sure she will do fine.

they give u pretty bandages, if not me and maggy will make them pretty when you get home
they give you good pain meds even though I know you won't take them

Sorry for neglecting you guys here lately. I just returned home tonight from Coffeeville. It was a rather busy weekend between trying to take care of my poor mom who is waiting for knee surgery, helping my grandmother move, finally getting to experience the fireman's ball and then attending two church services the next day after staying out all night. Ok the Fireman's ball is pretty much a fundraiser event put on by the Ladies League of my ity bitty small hometown. They recognize the firemen of the town, which are all volunteers and present the fireman queen and her maids which is made up of one girl from each grade 7th -12th. The queen is always a senior..... blah blah blah.... Anyway I have always referred to this event in the past as the senior citizens prom b/c I thought it would be boring and filled with nothing but the old and very young but......... I attended for the first time this year and much to my surprise I had a blast!! Sunday on the other hand I paid for it, but it was great to get to hang out with my girls I hardly get to see any more.
