no fish just a bad dog!!

We had big plans of taking Zoe to the lakefront and going fishing today but it was terribly windy when we got there. We could not even get near the water, I almost got soaked just standing there for Ryan to take a pic. We still had a great but windy day!! I hope our kids behave better in public than Zoe does. She is terrible and thinks she can take on any dog no matter the size!!

a year later!

I know its a little late but the top of our wedding cake was at my moms so we didn't get to try it on our ann. but here it is a year+ later. I have to say the cake was still good the icing was not so great. It does look a little beat up though. Cheers to us! Ryan and zoe are so happy I am home, I think they really missed me.

Just a peek!

I am back home safe and sound. Just wanted you to have a little peek of what its like in the country. It was a great weekend just getting to spend time with the family. It amazes me how little it takes to entertain the kids.
My weekend consisted of
-fixing my dads endless computer problems
-lazy afternoons outside watching absolutely nothing
-golf cart races with the kids
-Nintendo ds battles
-getting my dirt cheap fix of course
-hunting for lost kittens, finally finding them in the dryer vent
-watching the kids chase all there animals around driving them absolutely crazy
-actually seeing stars in the sky and being able to hear the crickets outside
-catching up with some old friends when my mom would let me out of her sight for 5 sec.
-and of course lots of great food and family time
It truely is a different life that I love to visit but don't know how I lived in the middle of no where for so long. I miss my family but I know now I will always live in the city. My mom does not even know how to use an ATM for heavens sake! And finding a spot where your cell has service is a whole other story and don't even get me started on the internet. They never even heard of wi-fi!

The jetta is alive!!

It's a miracle she works again. My nephew Noa had to be the first to show me that I did not kill my car. Obviously they start them driving a little earlier in the country. He is a pretty good driver too, just has a little trouble seeing over steering wheel. We are all having a great time up here, I think they have missed me just a little bit. The kids have not left my side and I think my brothers are just as excited as they are about me being here.

Blond moment of the year!

So I know you have not heard from me in awhile sorry, not even going to tell you all the good excuses of why. I wish I had some good news for you guys but April is not proving to be a good month for me.
#1 I don't like the IRS and that's all I will say about that topic.
#2 I left this morning to go to the "big city" to spend time with my mom. I stop off to fill up my tank and hit I-10. 4 miles later my car dies and immediately it flashes in my brain that I got a great deal on the diesel at only $3.29 a gallon. OH shit!! I put gas in my car not diesel thats why I am stranded in the middle of I-10, literally. I have never felt so stupid in my entire life. So thats my blond moment of the year.
Luckily Motorist Assistance came quickly and pushed me out of harms way and Rock n Roll wrecker service came right along to my rescue. So now I am waiting for my brother to come from Alabama and work magic on my car. At least I have made several people laugh today and have gave them a good story to tell.
