Bad Karoke & the Sunday Paper!

Another night of fun what a great weekend it has been. What's even better I don't have to go back to work until Tuesday night! I made a vow not to blog under the influence anymore but here I am again. We are having a sleepover tonight what fun. Tia is here and we just had a very unhealthy meal at Genaro's but tommorrow, well today is another day I will do better! Got to hear some quality karoke at a metry bar just about as bad as stepbrothers. Let me tell you Misty and Evanesence were the best! Ryan and Tia are now fighting over the Sunday paper what has happened we are home by 3am, have already ate and looking at the Sunday paper, boy have things changed. One time this weekend we were acutally sitting at The Bulldog talking about who has the best produce at a good price. What are we old people. I mean really has it really come to this! Anyway I have go and read the paper with Ryan and Tia, Have a great Sunday!

I have no idea why I am awake didn't get to bed until after 4 this am and woke at 8 feeling like I needed to drink 2 gallons of water so I am up now. What an interesting night we had last night. A friend of mine Lauren just started dating a friend of ours and I am very excited. They are so cute together and I have never really had a good girlfriend whose boyfriend was friends with my boyfriend. wow i meant husband lol! When Ryan and I started dating and we would go out it was just me and the guys. Its so different now, these guys now have girlfriends which is alot more fun! Don't get me wrong I don't mind hangin with the guys but having girls in the mix is so much better. Sorry I know I jumped around and back but kinda spacey this morning hope every ones Saturday is great!!

Why can those who should'nt!

I am off to work tonight and getting ready for a nice long weekend off. Ryan cooked dinner for me before work tonight and it was great. My mom and dad had to cut their vacation short to come home unfortunately my sister-in-law has to have surgery tomorrow. Her and my brother have been trying to have another baby for sometime now but she has to have a hysterectomy so please keep them in your prayers. They are in good spirits and grateful that they do have one child who keeps them on their toes all the time. Jason and Candace you are in my thoughts and prayers, Love you guys! Times like this always make me wonder why some individuals who don't even want children can conceive time and time again and those who really desire children and can give them the world can't conceive. I guess their is no need in getting on my soapbox because I have to get to work. Hope everyone had a good day!

The Saints and The Pope!

So I brought no luck to the Saints last night I think they need a little more than luck but we had a great time. They could have made a come back I swear but in the last 60 seconds of the game everybody gave up and walked on to the field. I mean alot could me done in 60 seconds they should have atleast let them finish. I know they would'nt have made 2 touchdowns in a minute but give them a little credit. Anyway well that was just my idea but I am not the know all of football I am sure Seth and Tia got tired of me asking questions. My brothers played football for like 4 years and I went to everyone of there games in highschool, but I never really payed attention I was just their for support. So I guess I don't know as much as I thought about football but it was fun!! We did see the pope at the game on one of our many trips to the bathroom and I had to get a pic with him even though he was'nt to happy about it. He said I was making him miss the game!!

Go Saints!!

Monday is off to a good start thus far. Already been to the gym and having a smoothie right now for lunch! I am very excited I am going to my first Saints game tonight. They haven't had the best of luck yet but tonight is there season opener at home so hopefully being in the dome will help them out and me being there of course!! The weekend wasn't so bad at work after all. They didn't need me Sunday night so I volunteered to stay home, how nice was that?

No fun for me!

So no fun for me this weekend Ryan and I both have work all weekend. Not too excited about it either. Its very rare I have to work on weekends especially all three days of it. But this weekend you can find me at Touro. Usually I occupy my time at work with Myspace and blogging but unfortunately the powers that be have blocked all sites that provide any entertainment. So I have a good book that I will be reading and I do get paid extra for it being the weekend so I guess that provides a little incentive.
As far as the gym I have been three times this week. I am so out of shape. Had to take Wednesday off b/c I was so sore, went back yesterday toughed it out. Now I can hardly move again. Its going to take some time but I will master the elliptical again! Over the last 2 years I have lost 100 lbs give or take about 10 I have gained back since the wedding. Its was hard but I still have a ways to go and for some reason I have been blind sighted and think I can eat whatever I want, WRONG!! So back to the lifestyle change again. We got the family plan at the gym so now I have Ryan to help me, and we are holding each other accountable to going and sweating it out together.

Happy Birthday Zoe

Today our little girl is three years old. Happy Birthday Zoe!! I never thought I would be so attached to a dog. I think her daddy is worse than me. He is crazy about her. Since we have gotten married she has became a daddy's girl. But she still cries at the door when I leave kinda like my mom lol. Well I want bore you anymore talking about our dog. Among other news I have been motivated this week to start going to the gym again. I figured I had used the excuse that I was looking for a gym long enough. I have been saying this for 6 months now. So its only Tuesday and I have been twice already!! Hopefully I can keep this motivation around. Speaking of 6 months yesterday was our 6 month wedding anniversary. Some days it seems like it was just yesterday and some days well it seems like it was forever ago. Love you Ryan and I can't wait to celebrate a lifetime of anniversaries with you!

Meatballs Galore!

Our dinner party was a success! Everyone is invited over for leftovers tomorrow night. Ryan made homemade spaghetti & meatballs and we have like 10 gallons of sauce and probably 20 baseball size meatballs left. He did a wonderful job with a little help from Bobby Flay! He was really surprised at how much work it is to cook for a large group. He was in the kitchen all day Saturday. I was not alot of help unfortunately I was a little under the weather due to having to much jaegar Friday night thanks to Chris!! Zoe was adorable as always in her new dress from Gammie. We really enjoyed spending time with the family. Ryan's grandfather who is 88 got us going with stories from his past. I love sitting around listening to old people tell stories about their life. He led a very interesting life when gas was only 25 cents a gallon! We are so fortunate to have a great family. The weather was great it was kinda cool for a change. Even though the Saints were a disappointment today it was still an excellent day!

Hope your Birthday was one of the best yet Charlene. Thank you so much for raising such a wonderful son who treats me like a princess and can cook!

Sorry I have'nt posted in several days I went home to visit with my family for a few days. We had such a great time. My brothers want to pay me now to come home more often so my mom will cook for them. She cooked the best and probably the most fattening dinner sunday. The only thing about going home is that when its time to go its hard leaving. My mom still cries everytime I leave and begs me to stay. She even tries to bribe me with food which I don't need, shopping which we did alot of, and many other things. I did get my dirt cheap fix when I was in town we went to four different ones. Zoe's birthday is coming up and my mom got her the cutest dress for her party. Ryan's mom and zoe's birthday is two days apart so we are going to celebrate both on Sunday. Our first family get together that Ryan and I are hosting at our house. We have the menu planned just have to do the shopping and cleaning. Football & Fall

Not sure when the start of fall is but I am sure it is soon. I love summer and don't want it to end but there are so many good things that come with fall also. Not like the weather is going to change anytime soon anyway. I have worn shorts on Christmas before. Does'nt look like its getting cold here anytime soon. Football always helps the season to change. The first four hours of work passed by rather quickly tonight. All of the patients were watching the saints game. We were listening to it on the radio at the nurses station and had it on in all the empty patients rooms. Go Saints! Lets just hope the Saints season gets better with the quickness.

Goodbye Summer.... Hellllooooo Fall !

A couple of weeks ago I was reading Cosmo and came across this Shower Shock soap. It is suppose to give you the same amount of caffeine as two cups of coffee. I immediately googled it and orderd 5 bars and the chapstick. I hate coffee so this is just what I needed. I thought maybe this could get me through my wake up time a little faster which Ryan would love! He usually does'nt talk to me until I tell him wake up time is over lol. So I got it today and could'nt wait to try it out. It is great. It really got me going and also is infused with peppermint that leaves you tingling all over.

This is a review that is what really made me decide to order it.

It's not soap-on-a-rope, it's a cup-a-joe in a bar of soap. Just might be the start of something new like dope-on-a-rope. Shower shock soap is a vegetable based glycerine soap infused with caffeine anhydrous that is supposedly absorbed right through the skin.
As far as using this soap to get me "going" in my morning shower I can't really tell if it's the caffeine from the Shower Shock soap or actually the peppermint additive. Let just say that after lathering up my bod, specifically the areas that are 'sensitive", such as way down yonder, I was wide awake. I was almost bouncing off the walls, mixing "sensitive" areas and mint or menthol leaves you with a feeling of a cool frosty "ice-pick" feeling right where it counts, had me screamin' "ohh mama!" www.riscx.com

Dragon Lady!!

I recently got a new camera. Have'nt figured out how to work everything on it yet, but have taken several interesting pics. This one I just have to share. Ryan says its the other side of me trying to come out which he calls "The Dragon Lady" I admit I am moody and a little mean at times but are'nt we all? I think we have adjusted well to married life. We have learned alot about each other since we have gotten married. You never know all the little things that will get on each others nerves until you actually live with them for awhile. Ryan found out quick that I leave cabinets open, the dryer and washer door open, squeeze the toothpaste from the middle and not the bottom, and like to not be touched in my sleep. I did'nt even realize that I do these things all the time! Ryan on the other hand has some things that annoy me as well. He saves every receipt from everything he buys and leaves them in random places around the house. Thanks to my mom she got us a shredder and this problem has been solved. I never knew he liked chicken so much until we got married either. He could eat chicken everyday, me I am begining to hate chicken! He also likes to ask me what I am doing if I am out of the the room for more than five minutes. Just while writing this blog I think he has asked me atleast twice! But no matter how much we annoy each other we love it and would have it no other way. I think the best advice I received about marriage was, "When you wanna say the most say the least."

I did'nt really think that was very significant before now but it really helps and we are learning more and more every day.

hope everyones weekend has been as great as our has been so far. guy came and gave us an estimate for the bed today. you will never guess what?? we know him. it was kinda emabarrasing. it was dan the man the carpentar man. joy's husband imagine that what a small world, but we got the 20% discount for family and friends. any way we just got in from having a great night out with friends and yes i know its almost 7 am but who cares what else do we have to do but live it up! Cheers to all the people at the Bulldog and Grits who put up with our crazy asses not to mention all the booty shakin that went on tonight. Shots anyone???
