Eat, Pray, & Love!

I just started a new book a couple of nights ago. Its not something I would normally read but Oprah recommended it so I thought I would give it a try. Its about Elizabeth Gilbert's journey through Italy, India, and Indonesia as she is trying to find balance and happiness in her life. I have only been to Italy so far but can't wait for her to take me to India, and Indonesia!
Maybe that will be my New Years Resolution! Eat, Pray, and Love!

Year end Review!

Not sure if I am going to make a New Years Resolution this year or not. I mean there are lots of things that i need to do: diet, exercise, quit smoking, limit the drinking, the list can go on and on! Just because I make a new years resolution does not automatically make these things happen. So I am thinking why the hell waste my time thinking up something that is just going to be broken, But I am going to TRY. yes I said try to work on these things! Ok that's depressing, on to my year end review! 2007 has been a great Year!

-January & Feb. was very stressful but exciting with wedding plans, house & job hunting!
-March was the best when Ryan and I became husband and wife. Jamaica was awesome! -April we got settled into our first home together. Ryan threw me the bestTiki party for my birthday!
-May was scorching! I just thought the humidity was bad in Alabama. I finally found a job in NOLA and got to stop commuting to Mobile to work! Thanks Joyce you were a great roommate!
-June & July was still very hot but filled with great trips to the beach and time with the family!
-August is the famous month I decided to start blogging. Aren't you glad I did. I mean what would you really do with out reading a little random BS everyday! Thanks to my faithful readers. Leave me a comment let me know who you are! I get so excited when I log on and actually see people come and read my blog!
-September was our six month wedding anniversary we made it and didn't kill each other! Love you honey! can't wait to spend so many more with you!
-October, November, & December have been filled with one party after another from Halloween to New Years its been a blast!
This year has brought so many new friends and I have grown closer to some old friends. Its been great! and I can't wait to see what 08 has in store!

I am going very slow today. Tia and I went out with the guys last night and now we are paying for it. That might be why I thought this video was so funny!
A friend of ours Dave is in town from New York and has a interview today here in Nola. So keep your fingers crossed that he will get the job so he can move back.

Triplet Update!

We went and saw the babies the other day. They are getting so big and active!! Ryan was so funny he had to hold them all and I had to make him leave. He wanted to stay all day and he wants to go back and play already! Heather loved Mr. Ed's chinhawk. I can't imagine having three babies at one time. I would be so stressed, but Dave and Lynn look like they are holding out very well with lots of help of course.

Baby its cold outside!!

What a night!! I started at 7 at the bulldog, was at the red door for Theresa's 30th by 9pm and soaking wet from the down pour we had while I was on my way. Then off to Bruno's to meet up with my hubby and some other holiday partyers at 11. By this time its freezing cold so I was little under dressed for the weather, but I am loving the coldness today. Now it really feels like Christmas!! Gotta run, today is filled with holiday visiting and parties too! I love it!!

Don't wanna bake no more!!

Cakes, Cookies, and more!! Don't wanna bake no more! Yes thats corny but who cares!! Tia and I spent all last night baking for our Christmas party! Let me just say I don't wanna see another cupcake for awhile. Well at least until the party tomorrow night! I have to say our centerpiece of a cake is going to look fabulous. I have two nights of work left and then I am off for the holidays!! I can't wait. I am so excited, all the shopping is done and the presents are wrapped, well except for a few that Mr. UPS will hopefully bring real soon. This weekend is going to be so fun and busy! Friday Tia and I are having girl day at Spa Isabelle. Not sure what I am going to do but maybe some blonde in my near future. Depends on how brave I get. Saturday we have a cocktail party at the Red Door and Sunday is our annual Christmas party at the Bulldog. Its so fun to see everybody as they are in town for the Holidays. Lots of our friends who we haven't seen since the wedding will be there, can't wait!! Then Sunday we are off to BFE for a Coffeeville Christmas!!

No Nacho Mama!

Tia, Ryan, and I went to Nacho Mama's last night for some Mexican and margaritas. Let me just tell you NEVER go there!! It was really good but we have all been sick since. Tia and I tried shopping today, we did get some things accomplished in between bathroom breaks eeewwww! I am finally home even though it did take me an hour to drive all of 15 miles.
My new camera finally came in today. The first thing I did was put the wrist strap on. My last two cameras I obviously threw the strap away but now I realize I need to use it afterall!! I ordered a pink one but they sent red instead. Its really cute and festive!! Hope everyone is running around crazy, shopping in all the madness and busy busy with one holiday party after another.

Looong Day!

I am still recovering from all my events Saturday. My first trip to Chalmette was entertaining. Lau showed me around the town. Wow lots of devastation still and only about one in ever ten houses have rebuilt. We went by her old her house for her to reminisce how sad!!

Busy, Busy!

Goooodmorning. So today is going to be a busy day I have 3 showers to go to and a bachelorette party! FUNTIMES! One of the showers is in Chalmette. I have never been to Chalmette so I will have to give you an update and tell ya what I think. Ryan and I went to the North Shore Yesterday so I could see what it was like. Lets just say I am glad I didn't leave anything there because I don't wanna go back!! For those of you who don't know, you have to drive over a 22 mile long bridge to get there and then you have to pay a $3.00 toll just to get back to the city. We did get the inside of my car cleaned while we were there. You can actually see the floor now, we will see how long I can keep it that way!
My Husband told me yesterday that I don't proof read my blogs and that I make way too many grammatical errors. So I will try to do better in the future. Not to ramble but I have no clue what is up with this weather. It is so freakin hot! We put up the Christmas decorations outside yesterday and had to wear shorts!! wtf? I hope it gets cold by Sunday. We are going to the park to take our Christmas card photo and I bought a really cute sweater to wear. Oh well I might be sweating in it but I guess thats ok as long as Ryan smiles. He absolutely despises taking pictures especially if he has to smile. So we have been practicing on his smile and I have had to give him a little incentive to do extra good!

So after a very long night at work last night I come home and spend some quality time with my husband and then off to bed. I am falling into that deep you know really good sleep about to to see sugarplum fairies and the phone rings. Well I thought it was the alarm but soon found out it was my dear sweet husband. He had went to get a haircut and locked his keys in his car. I said well I am sorry to hear that what would you like me to do about it? So I have to get out of our nice big comfortable warm bed and go get an extra key from his mothers house and take it to him ugggghhhhh!! And to top it all off he thought it was funny. I was not laughing but headed back home for more sleep but guess what I couldn't find the fairies again you got it, could not go back to sleep!! Took me forever he is is big trouble but at least he did get me surprises today at the store so he is making up for it all.
OMG my day just started to look up work just called and they don't need me right now so I am on call. So if you are pregnant and feel you need to go to the hospital don't go to Touro so I can stay home tonight!! K

One night of work down two to go!! Last night was pretty good got to work with some of my bestest friends last night. I guess my punishment is over for calling in sick to attend someone's b'day party!! I ordered a new camera last night and can't wait for it to arrive but you can bet I will be tying it around my neck each time I take it somewhere especially if I have had a few! Got a visit from Mr. UPS while I was at work last night. It's so exciting coming home to see Christmas presents waiting to be wrapped and know I have avoided all that shopping madness. Ryan is going to die when he sees what zoe picked out for him. Hope everyone has a great day!! I am exhausted and going to dream of sugarplum fairies.

Road Rage!

So I had plans to finish my Christmas shopping today but let me tell you I left at 8am this morning and its only one and I am home. I have had ENOUGH!! Never had to fight over parking spaces so much in my life and why in the world do businesses decide to redo parking lots at the busiest time of year!! So this has dampened my holiday shopping spirit a bit maybe I will finish up online to avoid the madness because it is just too much for me.

Its the weekend!

My work week is over now, well until Tuesday atleast!! I did find a new game to play at work. Its quite entertaining and makes time go by quickly while on the clock at Touro!! You should check it out sometime if you find yourself needing something to occupy your time its rather addicting!! Well now I am off to bed for a little while as everyone else is just starting there day. Whatever you have planned for the weekend hope its done with the ones you love the most!!

Meet me under the Mistletoe!!

The Mistletoe is hung and the Christmas tree is decorated as obnoxious as I could make it. There is nothing traditional about our tree, but would you expect anything less? Every branch is weighted down with way too many ornaments. There are feathers, birds, and even a monkey and much more!! Tia said it could be described as obnoxiously pretty or pretty obnoxious take your pick! She finally picked a name for her poor dog after trying out a few each day. The dog is so confused but is now the proud owner of the name TD!! So we tried to get the dogs in the Christmas spirit by letting them be Rudolph and Santa but they were not too impressed!!
